GamesCom 2016 is just a few weeks away, and Microsoft has announced that it will not be holding a press conference at this year’s event.
Announced via the Xbox website, Microsoft has said that they have opted to rather go with a “new and more intimate” event, called Xbox FanFeast 2016, for those attending the event.
Microsoft will still have its regular booths at the event however which will feature a number upcoming titles such as Forza Horizon 3, Halo Wars 2, Gears of War 4, ReCore and Sea of Thieves.
This is not that surprising considering the secrecy surround Project Scorpio, the super-powered Xbox One that Microsoft revealed at its E3 2016 press conference.
Interestingly, Sony was the one to opt out of a press conference at last year’s GamesCom event and, as of yet, has yet to confirm whether or not they will be doing a conference at this year’s event.
With all bets on the fact that Sony will reveal the PS4 Neo at its next press conference (whenever that is), we may just see the big reveal in a few weeks time at GamesCom 2016.
