What to Expect from Mass Effect: Andromeda

The release of the highly anticipated fourth installment in Bioware’s celebrated action RPG series, Mass Effect: Andromeda, is just around the corner (21 March for NA and 23 March for EU) and to celebrate the occasion, BioWare have been hard at work releasing some more content to show off what to expect from the first title to not be headed up by the illustrious Captain Shepard.  

First up we have an all new launch trailer:


Next up is an in-depth look at the single-player experience from the PAX East BioWare panel, courtesy of IGN, giving an insider’s look at the new title from the perspective of a host of key players (including the Art Director and Lead Writer) in BioWare’s latest creation.

Showing off a somewhat more casual Mass Effect experience (in terms of dialogue especially) the panel highlights some of the ways the BioWare team has attempted to improve on the series, including a more light-hearted atmosphere, larger and more open combat areas and making use of verticality in combat and more. The panel presents some actual in-game gameplay (including some untimely deaths) as well as a Q&A, take a look below:

Mass Effect: Andromeda is slated for release on Windows PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on 21 March (NA) and 23 March (EU) with pre-orders open for the Standard, Deluxe and Super Deluxe Editions now available.
