Crash Bandicoot was one of the highlights of the 2016 PlayStation Experience, as it was revealed that the original three games, bundled for PS4 as the N.Sane Trilogy, will be releasing in 2017.
The footage shown at the PlayStation Experience left everyone with high hopes, as it appeared that developer Vicarious Visions have gone to great lengths to ensure the integrity of the game, despite a massive overhaul that essentially has them rebuilding the game from the ground up.
Tech guru’s Digital Foundry actually went back to the PlayStation 1 version of the game in order to get a side-by-side comparison of the levels shown at the PlayStation Experience, and it shows off just how faithful to the original Vicarious Visions has been.
Although not a pure recreations, the essence of the game is definitely there, and by the looks of it, the new animations and textures will help bring a whole new generation of Crash Bandicoot fans to life.
The comparison also helps remind you just how far we have come over the years, and how picky we have become as the technology has enhanced itself.
