Overwatch Leg 2 Divisions and Map Rotations Introduced!

The DGL is proud to announce the introduction of two new divisions for Blizzard’s popular title Overwatch. The 2017 season will follow the usual DGL format, being split into four parts, called “Legs”, with each leg composed of  four weeks of competition, with a week break between legs. With the introduction of Divisions to the league for Leg 2 also comes the new map rotation feature, set to go live at the start of the leg, on 6 March 2016.

The second leg starts off with a bang as we move from the Ladder system into two divisions. Premier and First Division, each housing ten teams for a total of 20 competing teams.

First Division Teams

Moving forward, the Overwatch map pool for all competitive matches (Division and Ladder) will be limited to eight maps which will alternate each leg. The final leg (Leg 4) of the DGL will house all of the available maps before teams head to the finals. This should allow a greater distribution of map picks and add more to the league.

Please Note: Map rotations are subject to change without notice when updates and new maps are applied to the game. Ensure your team keeps up to date with the DGL rule set at all times to avoid complications.

These are the maps that will be played during Leg 2.
