Masters Roster Changes Get Confirmed in Time for Community Shield

Today sees the start of the Dota 2 Community Shield Cup, meaning that those Masters teams that finished their Leg One runs last week have had to make some quick roster changes in order to get ready for the next onslaught.

Out of the three Masters team’s entering into the community shield two have now confirmed their line-ups, namely Damage Control and Ventus Gaming, with Veneration E-Sports still making some final adjustments before announcing their new roster.

Damage Control announced the changes via its official website:

“It’s with a bit of sadness that we announce the releasing of two of our Dota 2 players, Tertius “Traxion” de Bruin and Ernst “Ihsahn” Halberg. Just want to take a moment to thank them for everything they have contributed towards Damage Control and our Dota 2 team. We wish them well on their competitive journey and hope that they keep putting their best foot forward!

On another note, with the Transfer periods around we have decided to take onboard some players to try and bolster the Dota2 lineup. Damage Control would like to welcome Cameron “datguyportal” Soloman, Nicholas “NniiCcKk” Bennet and Abrie “Joram” Cronje to the family. We are extremely excited to see what this new roster can do and how well they play together.

Very exciting times for Damage Control so stay tuned and keep your eyes on us.

This leaves the Damage Control Roster as follows:

Ventus Gaming has made no official announcement, but Ventus Owner Pieter “Cyrus” Venter has confirmed the line-up for the Community Shield with Telkom Gaming.

Traxion, fresh off the heels of parting Damage Control, will be joining the Ventus Gaming line-up as the new captain and support and will be joined by Vivid and FlingFlang, formerly of sister-side Ventus Black, and will be taking up the carry and offlane roll respectively.

Despite trying to find a suitable mid-player none have made an impact on the team so far, so for the community shield, Traxion’s brother, “Becky”, will be stepping in to fill in the void. This makes the Ventus team look as follows:

Both teams luckily have a bye in the opening round of the Community Shield, so they have a little more time to get some teamwork going before having to take on some tough teams, so expect some exciting Dota 2 action later in the week.

Telkom Gaming will be on hand to bring you the rosters as they roll in from other sides, so make sure to stay tuned to Telkom Gaming on Facebook and Twitter for the latest news and updates.
