Google always has interesting and new projects on the go, and the time that the Internet giant decides to reveal what’s on the go is always through its Google I/O developer conference, which is set to kick off later today.
The key-note speech is set for 10am Pacific time, which is 9pm for us here in South Africa, and promises to hold some interesting new developments. Alphabet (Google’s parent company) has a lot on the go at the moment, and we’ll no doubt see Google rallying behind its own Google Assistant.
Google Home is also likely to make some form of appearance, as well as Android O, which will definitely be another big feature.
Word on the street, according to Variety, is that Google also plans to unveil its own Virtual Reality headset that will cost significantly more than the Cardboard, which I do hope actually comes to pass as Google has proven to have some interesting ideas when it comes to Virtual Reality and this may be another step in the right direction.
