Get Hands on with Acer’s New Predator Range

Acer has announced an operational partnership with The Nexus, a community hub located in Ferndale, Randburg. One of the key features of the partnership is the introduction of the Predator Experience Room where the public will be able to test the award-winning Acer Predator 21 X – the world’s first notebook to offer a curved 21-inch IPS display (2560 x 1080 resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate).

The Predator Experience Room will be filled with all the latest gaming gear from the Predator stable like Predator 17 X, G6 Desktop, Z35 Monitor, and the highly anticipated Predator 21 X gaming laptop fresh from its global launch at the CES trade show in Las Vegas. “Being able to utilise The Nexus platform to introduce the Predator series to the public and all our gaming affiliates will contribute to our immersive product offering and the premium Acer experience,” says Paul Collins Acer Country Manager.

Located in the Experience Wing of The Nexus, The Predator Experience Room will be open to the public for the next five months. Visitors will also be able to purchase some of the merchandise directly from The Nexus. In addition, The Nexus also boasts a LAN and eSports space, a play hall for board gaming and trading card games and The Nexus Café, serving up some of the best burgers in Johannesburg. “The Nexus is a one of a kind social retail experience and we have been fortunate enough to have strong partners like Acer on board to assist us in the launch phase.

The Nexus hub is open daily from 09:00 and The Predator Experience Room will be open to the public from 9 February 2017.
