Codemasters has revealed this year’s iteration of its popular racing F1 franchise, F1 2017, and is due to release on PC, PS4 and Xbox One in August.
F1 2017 comes with some improvements, including a “deeper” career mode, better multiplayer thanks to enhancements, and an all new Championships game mode.
There are also some really important historical cars that will make its way into the game, such as Alain Prost and Senna’s 1988 McLaren MP4/4, Nigel Mansell’s 1992 Williams FW14B and Barrichello and Schumacher’s 2002 Ferrari F2002, all of which are shown in the reveal trailer for the game.
“Classics were incredibly well received when we included them in F1 2013, and in F1 2017 they are back and better than ever,” said game director Paul Jeal.
These classic cars will be integrated into the main career mode through invitational events that will let you drive these classic cars in the season. There is also a pre-order bonus whereby all Day One copies of the game will come with the 1988 McLaren MP4/4. It will be available for purchase as DLC should you wish not to pre-order.
F1 2017 is slated for release on 25 August 2017 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Check out the official reveal trailer below:
