Damage Control Hoping for First Win Against Ventus

Tonight sees a clash of the bottom of the log in the DGL Dota 2 Masters as Damage Control take on Ventus Gaming with both squads looking to secure their first Leg One victory.

It has been a troublesome start for both teams, having lost all three of their opening matches in Leg One so far with both sides seeming to be struggling to find form and what exactly works for the team in the current meta.

Telkom Gaming managed to get a few words in with Damage Control owner Alastair “Lag_Beast” Bearman to chat about the team and how it’s doing this year:

Telkom Gaming (TG): How has your line-up been fairing in 2017 with the loss of filthy frank to APG in the pre-season transfers?

Alastair “Lag_Beast” Bearman:  Not the greatest if I am honest, it’s never easy losing three players, one of which being Filthy Frank, in one go, and then only have a short space of time to replace the talent. No matter which way you slice it, it’s a tough pill to swallow, but we do what we can with what we have.

TG: Looking forward to the rest of the year, and now knowing what you will be playing for, how is Damage Control going to go about preparing for the challenges ahead?

Bearman:  I think it’s a case of making sure my teams are actively practicing, making sure they have all the tools they need at their disposal to ensure they are getting as much time in as possible.

TG:  Tonight’s match is essentially a fight for either Ventus or DC to finally get a win on the board. Do you think your lads will be able to do it?

Bearman:  It’s going to be a huge obstacle to climb, right now our Dota2 guys are fighting to win a game this season and I think if they can pull together some synergy there is a fair chance we can overcome Ventus. I just hope the guys are on fire tonight!

Please note the game will be starting slightly later than usual, and is set to kick off at 9PM this evening, so make sure not to miss out on some more Dota 2 DGL Masters action.
