Amber Genesis Registration is Now Open for CS:GO, Dota 2 and FIFA!

Registrations are now open for the Amber Proving Ground cups for CS:GODota 2 and FIFA 17!

The DGL Proving Grounds are back for the next round with the Amber Genesis Cups for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Dota 2 giving teams a chance to fight their way to the biggest event of the Digital Gaming League year: the DGL Masters Finals. Teams competing in the FIFA 17 (PS4) League will be battling it out for a place at the upcoming Masters Cup!

Registration for the first cup in the Amber Series, the Genesis Proving Grounds, closes on the 23 April 2017 with the cup set to commence on 24 April 2017 and following the usual best-of-three single elimination format for all titles.

Similar to the Emerald and Sapphire series, the top eight (8) finishers in the Amber Genesis Proving Ground (the current Cup) will compete in the Amber Showdown against the top eight (8) teams/players from the Amber Do-or-Die Proving Grounds with only four teams/players progressing through to the next round of competition.

The top four (4) teams/players that progress from the Amber Series will then face off in the second DGL Community Shield against the top four (4) from the Ruby Series and the bottom four teams from the Masters League for as chance at competing in the prestigious DGL Masters Finals (CS:GO and Dota) while teams competing in the FIFA 17 (PS4) League will be battling it out for a place at the upcoming Masters Cup!

The Amber Proving Grounds are open to all teams and players (with the exception of teams/players that have already qualified through the first Community Shield Cup).

  • Registration open: 18 April at 1:00 pm
  • Registration closes: 23 April at 11:45 pm
  • Round 1: Monday 24 April at 8:30 pm

The Proving Grounds is a great learning curve for teams who want to dive into the competitive environment and test their skills and teamwork. It is also a place where teams start to make their names known in the scene as the registrations are open to any DGL squad.
