Registrations for the Amber Genesis Proving Grounds are now open for all non-masters titles.
Similar to the Emerald and Sapphire Series, the Amber Genesis Proving Grounds Cup is the first step in just one of the Digital Gaming League’s new ways to qualify for the Digital Gaming Championships (check out all three methods here) with some teams already having secured their DGC placement thanks to their performances in the recently completed Community Shield DGC Qualifiers.
The Amber Proving Grounds are open to all teams/players (with the exception of teams/players that have already qualified for the Championships through the first Community Shield Cup).
The top eight (8) finishers in the Amber Genesis Proving Ground (the current Cup) will compete in the Amber Showdown against the top eight (8) teams from the Amber Do-or-Die Proving Grounds.
The top four (4) teams that progress from the Amber Series will then compete in the second DGL Community Shield against the top four (4) from the Ruby Series. The top two teams/players (16 player final) or the top team/player (8 player final) from the Community Shield will qualify for the Digital Gaming League Championships!
Registration is currently open for the following titles:
- Battlefield 4 (PC)
- Overwatch (PC)
- Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (PS4)
- Unreal Tournament (PC)
- League of Legends (PC)
- Hearthstone (PC/Android/iOS)
- Rocket League (PC)
Registration for the Amber Genesis Proving Grounds closes on 23 April 2017 with the first matches set to kick off on 24 April. (Note: All round dates are subject to change depending on the amount of entries into the cup).
Teams/players entering the Amber Genesis Proving Grounds will be seeded according to their ELO ranking on the ladder. Teams/players that did not have ELO rankings will be randomly seeded last.
